micro1 is engaging Purchasing Agents to contribute to a customer's project focused on advancing AI systems in the procurement domain. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. Scope of Work Design and author expert-level procurement tasks reflecting real-world complexity, including RFP drafting, bid evaluation, supplier scoring, and contract negotiation scenarios. Source, create, and format realistic procurement artifacts such as supplier quotations, specifications sheets, pricing tables, and technical documentation in multiple inconsistent formats. Define defensible sourcing recommendations with clear, well-reasoned justifications that mirror sophisticated procurement decision-making. Develop comprehensive grading rubrics to be used by AI grading agents, focusing on accurate evaluation of agent performance in vendor comparison, contract reasoning, and bid analysis. Ensure tasks accurately represent the granular challenges of procurement in specialized domains such as IT, industrial, or professional services. Provide clear, well-structured written and verbal communication to articulate procurement challenges, task context, and evaluation standards. Collaborate with micro1’s project team to review, refine, and validate created tasks and rubrics for quality and relevance. Preferred Qualifications Minimum 4 years of proven experience in corporate or public-sector procurement, with direct responsibility for supplier analysis, bid matrices, and contract negotiation. Demonstrated expertise in analyzing non-standardized vendor submissions and producing detailed comparison matrices. Deep category knowledge in IT, industrial, or professional-services procurement, enabling nuanced scenario creation and evaluation. Exceptional written English skills, with advanced ability to author technical procurement documentation and articulate contract rationale. Strong foundation in procurement best practices, regulatory frameworks, and supplier evaluation methodologies. Experience with creating or assessing complex procurement scenarios or benchmarks is a plus. Proven attention to detail, analytical mindset, and a commitment to high-quality deliverables in demanding technical contexts.
